About First Federal
Over 125 Years of Expertise
Originally known as the Dover Building and Loan Company of Canal Dover, First Federal Community Bank has been serving Northeast Ohio since 1898. Since that time, we have grown considerably, opening eight locations in New Philadelphia, Dover, Sugarcreek, Berlin, Mt. Hope and Uhrichsville.
We truly believe banking is as much about people as it is about money. And although our dedication to old-fashioned customer service will never change, our commitment to innovation is equally strong. We are dedicated to continuously updating our products and services, from giving you the freedom to deposit checks at home to offering free checking that rewards you in ways you'll love.
Whether you are opening your first checking account, planning for retirement, or starting your own business, First Federal offers the modern convenience you expect and the personal service you deserve.
Community Commitment
From day one, our motto has been "investing in our community." This means far more than providing superior financial services. It means volunteerism, philanthropy, and leadership throughout our community.
Giving back to our communities is part of the culture for all of our employees. Fundraisers and volunteer hours have been dedicated to a long list of charitable causes, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Tuscarawas Co. food pantries, Salvation Army, Rainbow Connection, Union Hospital Breast Center, and many more.
Additionally, First Federal directors and employees provide their time in leadership roles for a great number of civic and cultural organizations, including Kent State Tuscarawas University Foundation, United Way, Tuscarawas Center for the Arts, Save Our Homes Task Force, area Rotary Clubs, Kiwanis Clubs, Lions Clubs, and many more.
Investing in our community isn’t just a slogan — it's the way we do business.
